Our Transitional Woods are an exact copy of an original J. Wilson club. Transitional woods are slightly shorter from toe to heel than long nose woods. The long nose club was gradually made shorter until it was completely replace by the compact bulger head at the turn of the century. The transitional woods existed in the middle of this “transition” from long nose to bulger. Over several years of feedback from players we have decided to only offer our splice neck clubs with the insert. The traditional construction of splice neck clubs takes an extraordinary amount of time. Therefore please allow up to 8 weeks of production time at the time of your order.
